mindfulness meditation

Congratulations for making it to week 6! You’ve worked hard to get to this point and I’m sure you can feel the positive changes in yourself already. You’ve absorbed and applied over 3100 words of psychological and scientific knowledge, and for that you should be so proud. Knowing this, I’d like to give you a break this week from reading. Instead, watch the video below to learn more about the widely studied benefits of meditation. Scrap any preconceived notions you may have and come into it with an open mind.

ACTIVITY

This week, I’d like you to meditate for at least 10 minutes everyday. You don’t have to do anything special, just sit with your back straight, concentrate on your breathing, and clear your mind. This can be hard for beginners so I suggest following guided meditations which you can find on Youtube and Spotify. Netflix came out with a series called Headspace Guide To Meditation too where they teach you about meditation and also use the latter half of each episode to guide you through the process.
